Friday 19/06/2006

  • 11:00: The launch of the Committee of the Civil Society Organizations so that Lebanon joins the International Criminal Court, in the Lebanese Press House.

Friday 23/06/2006

  • 11:00: An open media and health day in solidarity with the Mothers of the Detainees and the Disappearances facing the UN House (ESCWA). The day includes the launch of the Social-Health Report about the mothers’ situation and medical examinations.

Saturday 24/06/2006

  • From 10:00 – 13:00: A medical day with the kind care of the Minister of Health Dr. Mohammed Jawad Khalifa in support of the released detainees, the martyrs, the injured and their families in the House of the Detainee (Der Seryan –South of Lebanon).

Sunday 25/06/2006 – The Festival of Justice at Ein El-Mrayyseh Place

  • 11:00: Launching kites.

  • 11:10: Statements of the participating NGOs and testimonies.

  • 12:00: “Their Belongings Talk Exhibition” that includes the belongings of the disappearances, detainees and martyrs, photos and posters about torture, stickers, books, hand-made crafts, children’s drawing. The exhibition ends on the evening of Monday 26/06/2006.

  • 17:00: Dance performed by the National Institute for Social Care&Vocational Training “Beit Atfal Al-Somoud”, dancing and music playing.

  • 18:00: Moulayya Team for Traditional Dancing.

  • 19:00: Boats’ Parade from the Fishermen’ Port in Ein El-Mrayyseh.

  • 20:00: Documentary Movies, sport’s show for Fatima Farran.

  • 20:30: Musical Festival by Dr. Wissam Hamadeh.

Monday 26/06/2006  - A Celebration in the Lebanese Press House.

  • 11:00: With the kind care and presence of the Former Prime Minister Dr. Salim El-Hoss, a celebration in the Lebanese Press House.
    Statements for the occasion will be delivered by the President of the Lebanese Press Syndicate; Mr. Mohammed El-Baalbaki, Former Prime Minister Dr. Salim El-Hoss, the President of the Lebanese Parliament of Human Rights; Mr. Michel Mousa, the UN High Commissioner for Human rights; Ms. Louise Arbour, Amnesty International, Khiam Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture, National Institute for Social Care&Vocational Training “Beit Atfal Al-Somoud”, and the Lebanese Association for Human Rights.
    as well as humanitarian & social organizations.

  • 20:00: Photo Exhibition under the title of “Silent Eyes” for the Artist Hasan Bazzi with the kind care of the Minister of Culture, Mr. Tarek Mitri, in the UNESCO. It continues till the evening of June 27.
