A free medical and media day in Aitta Al Shaeeb
On 22/06/2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 15:00: A medical free and media day for survivors of torture and their families in the village of Aita al-Shaab in the south, in collaboration with “Giving without Limits” Association and the town mayor.

In a few days, the detainee Mohammad Srour and three of his friends, will be freed and go back to their village Aitta Al Shaeeb. Hundreds of the people of this village were prisoned and freed during the long years of the Israeli occupation until the last Israeli attack in July 2006. But those people have suffered also from the government’s negligence for their sacrifices, for they did not get any compensation or any social or medical support.
Khiam Rehabilitation Center for the Victims of Torture in his support for the village of endurance and sacrifices, inaugurated its activities on the occasion of June 26 – The United Nations International Day in Support of Victims Of Torture by organizing a free healthy day on 22/06/2008 in the clinic of “Alhaiaa Alsohia Alislamia”. This event was organized with the cooperation of the municipality, “Alhaiaa Alsohia Al Is lamia”, and “Ataa Billa Houdoud” organization. The released detainees, their families, some of the citizens of the village, and the families of the martyrs attended the event to make use of the free medical check ups from doctors of different specializations (pediatrics, psychiatrists, family doctors, and neurologists) and to get free medication. About 150 citizens made use of this free medical day.
KRC is organizing three free healthy days next week in Kanna, kfar Hamam (Hasbaia), and Birayel (Akkar).
