The Khiam Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture was informed by the family of George Ibrahim Abdalla that George (who is detained in France since the year 1984) was admitted to the intensive care unit in a hospital three days ago. Since we do not know the truth about his
situation, we call for your rapid intervention to ask the French authorities for clarification of his health condition and to know the truth of the matter. Please note that George's sentence has ended 7 years ago but the French authorities still refuse to release him.
The KRC calls upon all the Humanitarian Organizations to work for his swift release!

KRC URGENT APPEAL
Save George Ibrahim Abdallah
George Ibrahim Abdallah; a political prisoner in the French prisons since the year 1984 languishing today in the intensive care room.
Seven years since the end of George Ibrahim Abdallah's sentence and still the oldest democratic countries France refuses to release him.
George Ibrahim Abdallah in the intensive care room after 22 years in the French prisons, the Khiam Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture holds the French authorities responsible for the deterioration of his health calling them to his immediate release and return to Lebanon, especially that his sentence had ended.
The Center also holds the Lebanese government, the Lebanese parliament and the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Justice the responsibility of the silence and the failure to demand the release of Georges Ibrahim
Abdallah.
The Center is also surprised from the silence of the international humanitarian organizations and lack of accountability to the French authorities on the issue of George Ibrahim Abdallah, while these organizations monitor the detention of an ant in other countries and issue the appeals for its release.
The Khiam Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture considers the continuity of the detention of George Ibrahim Abdallah a flagrant violation of the international laws and the conventions of Human Rights and the slogans of democracy which has been advocated by the French government and calls on the Lebanese government to act quickly to save George Ibrahim Abdallah and release him.
It also calls on all human rights organizations, the Lebanese, Arab and international to protest to the French authorities on the continuity of detaining George Ibrahim Abdallah in violation of all humanitarian laws.

جورج ابراهيم عبدالله المُعتقل السياسي في السجون الفرنسية منذ العام 1984 يقبع اليوم في غرفة العناية الفائقة
جورج ابراهيم عبدالله مضت سبع سنوات على نهاية عقوبته. وما تزال أعرق البلدان ديمقراطية فرنسا ترفض الإفراج عنه
جورج ابراهيم عبدالله في غرفة العناية الفائقة بعد 22 عاماً في السجون الفرنسية، مركز الخيام لتأهيل ضحايا التعذيب إذ يحمّل السلطات الفرنسية مسؤولية تدهور حالته الصحية يدعوها الى الإفراج الفوري عنه وإعادته الى لبنان خاصة وأن مدة عقوبيته قد انتهت. كما يحمل المركز الحكومة اللبنانية والمجلس النيابي االبناني ووزارتي الخارجية والعدل مسؤولية الصمت والتقصير في المطالبة بالإفراج عن جورج ابراهيم عبدالله. ويستغرب المركز سكوت المنظمات الانسانية الدولية وعدم مساءلتها للسلطات الفرنسية عن قضية جورج ابراهيم عبدالله بينما هذه المنظمات ترصد احتجاز نملة في بلدان اخرى وتصدر النداءات للإفراج عنها
مركز الخيام يعتبر استمرار اعتقال جورج ابراهيم عبدالله انتهاكاً فادحاً للقوانين الدولية ولشرعة حقوق الانسان وللشعارات الديمقراطية التي ترفعها الحكومة الفرنسية ويدعو الحكومة اللبنانية الى التحرك السريع لإنقاذ جورج ابراهيم عبدالله والإفراج
عنه
ويدعو أيضاً كافة منظمات حقوق الانسان اللبنانية والعربية والدولية الى الاحتجاج على السلطات الفرنسية لمواصلة احتجازها
