Training Session One: The Rehabilitation process for the victims of torture. (for KRC Staff) - May 26 & 27, 2007

Topics: 
- International Conventions and treaties against torture
- Psychological and social consequences of torture. 
- Basic techniques for dealing with survivors of torture.

June 26 Workshop: Provisions of Lebanese laws and their compatibility with the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment. June 25, 2007.

Training Session Two: Strategies of Advocacy. July 28&29, 2007.

Topics:
- International conventions and treaties against torture.
- Torture in the Lebanese legislation.
- Statistics about torture and the current social and economic situation of torture survivors in Lebanon.
- The needs of survivors of torture.
- Necessary skills for organizing campaigns against torture.

Training Session Three: Trainers Competences and Skills. November 30, Dec 1& 2, 2007

Topics:
- Techniques of social intervention with the survivor of torture and his family (Children and women). 
- Techniques and skills of listening
- Monitoring, reporting and documentation of torture cases.
- Techniques and skills of a trainer.
- Psychological Traumas
- How does a trainer organize training sessions and campaigns for advocacy and public awareness against torture? 

Dec 14 Workshop: In the occasion of Dec 10, the International Day for Human Rights, KRC organized a workshop entitled:

The Optional Protocol to the Convention against Torture; A Guarantee of Human Rights in Lebanon.
